After a PhD thesis in Mechanical Engineering, Patrick Henrat started his carreer in the Carbon and Aramid fibres activities of the Akzo Group in Germany, in charge of material qualifications for direct or indirect customers. In 1990, he integrated Hexcel, materials manufacturer for the composite industry, where he exercised management responsibilities in R&T within the different entities of the group, first managing the development of prepregs in Europe and then as Global VP R&T for the reinforcement activities, composites, electronics, ballistics. Since 2010, he is the Technology Director of Safran Composites, the polymeric matrix composites R&T platform of the Safran Group, and has been appointed Composites Group Expert in 2011.
